8/52: Ella never goes anywhere without her trusty magnifying glass or her owl hat.

7/52
7/52: That owl hat was a few dollars at CVS some years ago. She has worn it every winter.
7/52, Sunday. Yup, those are pajamas. We didn't make it to church on Sunday. We spent most of Saturday night trying not to freeze. There was a massive windstorm, which knocked out one of our external breakers, the one that powered our furnace (of course)...our awesome power company came out and fixed it, but we were exhausted and spent all of Sunday in our pajamas.

Meal Plan Monday: Yup, it's back
I've been seriously SO sick. I spent all of last Monday is varying stages of sleep. Bleh.
I won't say I'm 100% yet, but I'm getting there.
Have you ever gotten over being sick, looked around your house and gasped: "WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN? WHY IS IT SO MESSY?"
That's me today. So, in between cleaning, laundering clothes to take to consignment, and trying to get better, I'm planning meals. We can't live on chicken soup and sandwiches forever, ya'll.
So, here goes!!!
Monday: Creamy Burrito Casserole
Tuesday: Crockpot Baked Potato Soup
Wednesday: Pot Roast
Thursday: Planned Leftovers, Pot Roast Soup (what that entails, I have no idea yet, but bear with me)
Friday: Breaded Chicken, Mac and Cheese, and veggies
Saturday: Cheeseburger Soup
Sunday: Chicken Spaghetti
Oh, and here's a picture of some major prettiness from my living room.

6/52
6/52: Oh, no, we're gonna crash!!!!! Goofing off in front of Sears during a girls' day.
6/52, Sunday: Springlike temperatures call for a springy dress. It's just too bad that the bottom will fall out on the temps by the end of the week. Bleh. Did I mention how much I dislike NC?

What Happens When I'm Sick
....apparently, a lot of nothing.
I've had a nasty cold this week, and spent most of Monday in bed. Therefore, there was no Meal Planning Monday. Heck, there was no meal planning, and we seriously subsisted on chicken soup and sandwiches for the first half of the week.
I learned a few things too.
*The world doesn't end if I'm sick.
*An extra hour in bed isn't going to kill me or anyone else in the house.
*My husband is more than capable of taking care of the child/house/animals.
*That first meal that you can actually taste is so much better than anything else. ever.
*Tangelos are amazing.
*Husbands who bring you tangelos are even more amazing.
*Oh, and sometimes, while you're not doing anything, God is doing something. My Christmas cactus is still in bloom, and it's beautiful.
