Good morning, ya'll. It's been an emotional week around here, and I'm hoping to calm things down a little bit this week. I have about five million errands to run this week, but I am going to make an effort to slow.the.heck.down. (I know my regular readers/friends are probably laughing here because I talk about slowing down EVERY week). I'm trying, guys, seriously!!!!!
So, here goes!!!!
The weather in my neck of the woods: Weird. Days will start off sunny, and then it will POUR in the afternoon, and go back to being sunny. I got caught in a downpour yesterday two minutes from home, and in the time it took me to get home, then sun was out again. Weird NC weather.
Things that make me happy: Friends who pop by in the morning to make sure I'm ok, actually getting to go out with people over the age of 9, laughing at silly things, and believe it or not, the view from the top of a mountain.
Menu for this week:
Monday: Chicken Stir Fry
Tuesday: Potato Soup in the Crockpot
Wednesday: Bacon and Broccoli Macaroni and Cheese
Thursday: Breakfast Sandwiches
Friday: Gabe's choice. I have no idea.
Saturday: Ham and Potatoes
Sunday: Leftovers or Spaghetti
What's on my T.V. today: I don't do TV, but Ella wants to watch a girls' movie with me tonight, so we'll do that.
Looking around the house: hahahahaha! No, I'm kidding. I still have some boxes here and there, but the house is coming together. Gabe bought me this green table before we moved in. I've finally found a place for it...it's in the corner of the kitchen.
On my to-do list today: Laundry
A trip to the dump
A trip to the library
New recipe I want to try soon: This Cauliflower Alfredo Sauce
In the craft basket: Still those dang headbands...to be fair, Gabe just found my glue gun (yay!). Also, I'm trying to find a good dress/something to upcycle into a lace skirt for Ella.
Looking forward to this week: Things calming down! And Friday...even though I have errands/appointments, I still plan on making it an awesome mother/daughter day!!!
Tips and Tricks: Stolen from my sister. Clean five minutes out of every 30. It works!
My favorite blog post from this week: This.Entire.Blog for all my crafty peeps, this is a must see
Blog hopping this week: See above. I am super excited about that blog!
No words needed (favorite photo):
Lesson learned the past few days: I have incredible people in my life. Also, sometimes it's OK to look down from the top of a mountain. :)
On my mind: It's my Mom's birthday!!!! We called her and wished her a happy birthday and it my heart so much good to hear her voice get excited to talk to my Ella :) My sister, Christina, my niece and nephews. They're getting ready to MOVE.BACK.HOME!!!! aaaaaaaaaaah!!!! Also on my mind: lunch. Because food is almost always on my mind. Oh...and....the June Flexi of the Month is HERE!!!!!
Go here to get yours!!!!
